Saaitii

Saaitii.

Saaitii is an Old One that is simply described as a gigantic ghostly hog.

This Old One likely inspired the myths and folklore of wart hogs who were abnormally large and struck fear and terror into the nearby villages. Saaitii rules over the hogs of Earth, and protects a forest which is sacred to it. Any who so foolishly enter the forest and defile it, will meet a gruesome demise from the monster.

The villagers believe that Saaitii is the spirit of a deceased hog which was wrongfully killed during a hunt from ancient tribesmen. However, Saaitii is believed to have manifested through the wandering souls of deceased hogs, absorbing their rage and taking the form of a ghostly hog; this likely implies that Saaitii was not always a hog.
